Working at Volunteering Tasmania
Volunteering Tasmania has a state office based in Hobart, and operates satellite ‘pop-up’ offices in Burnie and Sorell. We have maintained Employer of Choice status since 2011.
We have a small team of passionate and dedicated people, all working to make a positive change to our community through the facilitation of effective volunteering.
Our workplace culture is based on the Volunteering Tasmania Values, which you can find right at here.
Hobart based role | Part Time (0.4 FTE) | Ongoing position | SCHADS Level 5 | Approx $67k pa Pro Rata
Do you love it when a plan comes together? Can you juggle tasks with one hand, whilst dotting ‘i’s and crossing ‘t’s with the other?
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and hard-working Events Officer, whose intuition and knack for making magic lives in harmony with their fondness for scheduling and stakeholder registers!
For two days a week, you will ‘go hard’ with our team of high performers, working alongside them but with autonomy as you focus on exciting events projects like the Tasmanian Volunteering Awards, the annual Volunteering Tasmania Symposium, and National Volunteer Week.
As any great event planner knows, producing a great outcome isn’t always easy! But you’ll be welcomed into an organisation that sees staff as whole people, who are encouraged and supported to grow personally and professionally. And you will have the unique and valuable opportunity to facilitate the only state-wide volunteering awards ceremony in Tasmania!
