At a Special General Meeting in 2009 VT made changes to our constitution regarding membership to VT. The changes have meant that VT now has 3 membership categories:

1. Associate membership is open to any individual;
2. Agency membership is open to any non government society, association, service club, government agency which encourages the participation of volunteers in the delivery of services and supports the mission statement of VT and any non profit corporate body and any for profit corporate body (which is not a user of volunteers) which supports the mission statement of VT;
3. Voting membership.

Associate and Agency membership is free of fees and members will receive regular and up to date information from us about volunteering, including new research, workshops, information sessions and networking opportunities.

Voting membership is free of fees and open to all members of VT. Voting members have the right to:

• receive information about the activities of VT;
• vote on all resolutions at general meetings of members;
• elect the Board of VT;
• nominate for the Board;
