Policy

As the Peak body for volunteering in Tasmania we have a responsibility to fully understand sector issues, and to make considered statements on behalf of the sector and those within it.

We regularly work with government and other regulatory organisations to help them become aware of the issues faced by our stakeholders; as well as how volunteering can directly improve the economy, culture, and outcomes for individuals in Tasmania.

Volunteering Tasmania plays a vital role in researching and developing social policy that promotes a safe, satisfying and effective volunteering community.   We also share relevant research – please view the ‘Research’ section on our Publications web page.

If there is a sector issue you would like to raise with us, or if you would like to further discuss our policies, please contact us.
