policy and research

On 19 May 2011 Lindsey Moffatt, in partnership with Volunteering Tasmania, launched the report Engaging young people in volunteering: what works in Tasmania at the Tasmanian Youth Conference in Launceston.

Complementing VT’s State of Volunteering: Tasmania 2010, the report offers a spotlight on what works in youth volunteering here in Tasmania.

The report provides valuable evidence of what it takes to cultivate interest in volunteering among young Tasmanians, how to create roles that are appropriate for young people, and the characteristics for successful leadership in youth volunteering.

The report will be a key resource for volunteer-involving organisations in tailoring processes to engage young people in volunteering.
