The Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC Scholarship

Volunteer Managers play an important role within organisations and volunteer groups.  They are the drivers of volunteer programs, implementing process and systems to ensure that volunteers have a positive and rewarding experience when providing much needed services to our communities.

Volunteering Tasmania (VT) recognises that managing volunteers is becoming increasingly complex, and the way a volunteer program is managed plays a critical role in achieving positive outcomes for all involved.  Volunteering Tasmania encourages Volunteer Managers to adapt to the changing environment through personal growth and development.  To support this, Volunteer Tasmania proudly presents the ‘Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC Scholarship’ to assist emerging Volunteer Managers to further their education, knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.

Each year an emerging Volunteer Manager will be awarded a $2000.00 scholarship to support their professional development endeavours.  The scholarship is for 12 months, during the calendar year (Jan – Dec).

The scholarship consists of:

  • Free access to all Volunteering Tasmania professional development opportunities including the annual Volunteering Tasmania Conference
