About the CPD Program – Continuous Professional Development

Volunteering Tasmania’s CPD Program for Professional Leaders of Volunteers is the designed to improve your knowledge and maintain a high standard of professional practice

This program supports your continuous professional development by formally recognising the work you are doing to raise the standards of volunteer leadership in your organisation and across our State.
Endorsed by Volunteering Australia, this program is exclusive to members, voluntary and only $50 (ex GST) in 2020.

Benefits of Participating

The CPD (continuous professional development) Program for Professional Leaders of Volunteers is a formal avenue to improve your knowledge and skills. By gaining 16 CPD points this year, you earn the right to put PLV after your name. This post-nominal will help raise your profile, and demonstrates your commitment to your career, and to the volunteer leadership profession.

How it Works

Participants are expected to accumulate a minimum of 16 points before the end of December 2020. These points can be attained through any combination of:

  • Professional development, events and services offered by Volunteering Tasmania

  • Professional development at your organisation

  • Reading relevant industry articles/newsletters

  • Mentoring colleagues/members in volunteering management

  • Reflective practice

Get Started

  • Read the FAQs and CPD Activity Point Schedule to plan your CPD activities for the year – you must achieve minimum 16 points.

  • Participate in your chosen CPD activities and complete the Activity Validation Form after each activity.

  • Update your activity validation form to Volunteering Tasmania every two months or at the end of December 2020.

  • Achieve 16 CPD points by the end of the year and receive your formal certificate and option to use PLV after your name.
